Jonathan Wooding T his remote mountain chapel of 1822–8, on the border of the parishes of Llanddewibrefi and Tregaron, retains its original box pews, sêt-fawr and plastered ceiling, in an ungalleried interior. The late nineteenthcentury low balustraded pulpit is in the middle of the long entrance wall with a painted inscription, ‘God is love’ in Welsh (Dyw cariad yw), painted on the wall behind it.
