Each application is identified by a unique number. The number assigned by default on this page is unique, but it is also somewhat meaningless. You could give your application a more meaningful integer to identify it, but that integer would have to be unique within your Oracle database. For the purposes of this book, you should just accept the assigned number. You can give the application any name you like, but the examples in this book will refer to this application by the name of Book Sample. You can also see that you can create application design templates, which can be used to create default applications that use a structure you have designed.
