Estimating Plywood for Sample Project The most difficult part of a cabinet take-off is dividing the plywood so that cabinet parts are cut from it efficiently. To clarify this process, make a drawing that shows each part you need. From that, generate a materials list, indicating a rough estimate of the sq. ft. needed for each component and the number of sheets needed for the project.
